FSINN / SQUAWKBOX (requires standalone client)

In order to use FSINN or Squawkbox with Audio for VATSIM, you will need the latest version of FSINN or Squawkbox already instealled and the Audio for VATSIM standalone client. We no longer provide download links for either of these clients and encourage you to consider using a more modern client if possible.

Step 1: Download and install the Audio for VATSIM standalone client.

Step 2: Connect to the network using FSINN or Squawkbox in the normal way.

Step 3: Launch the Audio for VATSIM software.

The first time you run the standalone client, open the settings window and calibrate your microphone. When talking, the bar should be bouncing into the green band. If it does not, make sure you increase or decrease your mic volume using the mic volume slider. Assign your push to talk key, click apply and ok.

It is highly recommended you update your client to a supported client of swift or vPilot as these clients will be removed once fast position updates are added to the network sometime early next year.
