Euroscope (requires standalone client)

In order to use EuroScope with Audio for VATSIM, download the latest version and the Audio for VATSIM Standalone client.

Although at present you require the standalone client, we expect Euroscope to be fully integrated shortly.

Step 1: Download and install the latest version of Euroscope.

Step 2: Download and install the Audio for VATSIM standalone client.

Step 3: Optionally download and install the 'AFV Bridge Plugin'. (To sync your Euroscope text channels with the AFV Audio panel settings when using pseudo positions)

Step 4: Connect to the network using Euroscope in the normal way.

Step 5: Although every effort has been made to shut down the old voice servers in order to avoid issues, we recommend changing your voice servers in the euroscope audio panel to something like 'novoice' in order to prevent euroscope trying to connect to the old voice servers.

Step 6: Launch the Audio for VATSIM software.

The first time you run the standalone client, open the settings window and calibrate your microphone. When talking, the bar should be bouncing into the green band. If it does not, make sure you increase or decrease your mic volume using the mic volume slider.

Don't forget to assign a push to talk key!

If you miss your voice room list we recommend using The RDF Plugin

For further information refer to Section 6: Controlling with AFV in the Audio for VATSIM Manual linked on the top left of this page.
